Guidelines for each type of Creator
After reviewing the general guidelines for submissions on the previous page, here are the details for each industry position we are interested in:

CREATOR OWNED PROJECTS

We are always on the lookout for creator owned projects that are ready for publication. Submissions for this type
should include the cover letter previously discribed in our submmission guidelines, a detailed synopsis of your story arc,
a cover mockup if you are that far along, 4-6 pages of interior completed work with most of them being sequential
panel-to-panel pages and designs descriptions of the main characters in your book. And of course, we also would like
to know who is working on this project if in fact it is not just you doing it all!

ARTISTS

We are always on the lookout for talented artists. Submissions for this should include FINISHED work, meaning fully
penciled AND inked (colored if cover art). Please do not send us work in progress and send only what you think is
your best stuff. Let’s see a variety of stuff from you, specifically, the following: sequential panel-to-panel work of at
least 4 to 6 pages in length. Telling a good story isn’t needed here if you aren’t looking to write for us, but we do need
to see continuity of the panels so we can get a feeling of what you might be able to do given a script from one of our
writers. Detailed face shots & expressions, nice backgrounds, and a good grasp of perspective and anatomy of figures
is a must on these panels. Also, illustrative work such as pinups and cover-type works are also needed. If you have
had work published before, we would love to see samples of that (photocopies, tear sheets, an actual comic book,
etc.) either in your submission packet or links on the internet we can go to. Remember to follow the general submission
guidelines mentioned previously. And of course, submitting any sample work using our own characters (like Cavewoman)
is a real plus, but not required! 8.5” x 11” copies of your artwork is fine, no need to send 11” x 17” unless you wish.
If the art is in color, the copies you send must be also. And one final note – any artists we decide to work with in the
future must ABSOLUTELY be able to meet deadlines.

COVER-ONLY ARTISTS

We receive many inquires about artists wanting to only do covers for us. Artists who specialize primarily in cover art are
absolutely welcome to send in a submission. To be considered for cover work with our company, we would need to
see sample cover art featuring a character that we currently publish (Cavewoman, Razor & Harpy among others). If you
have had work published before, we would be also be interested in seeing samples of that (photocopies, tear sheets, an
actual comic book, etc.) either in your submission packet or links on the internet we can go to. Remember to follow the
general submission guidelines mentioned previously.
